No previous plan reading experience is required for this beginner friendly course.

Course Objectives:

Identify components of drawings and specs

Understand common views represented on drawings

Recognize symbols on drawings

List drawing types by design and discipline

Accurately read and interpret drawings

Describe documents at different phases of design

Accurately read and interpret specifications

Interpret drawings in relation to specifications

Communicate effectively through drawings

Avoid errors in drawing interpretations

Learn how to utilize physical/traditional tools and computer tools for document review
