Keith And Rebecca Keith Scott and Rebecca Klein, of TALLsmall Productions, coach clients internationally on how to communicate in a simple, confident style in which words, tone, and body language are aligned. The husband-and-wife duo launched ten years ago, and yes, the company is named for their heights. The couple provides private executive and leadership coaching, group workshops, keynotes, and panel facilitation for corporate, government, and non-profit clients. Niche topics include public speaking, LinkedIn strategy, media relations, banishing imposter syndrome, presentation creation, and conflict resolution.

7:00 AM   Registration, Buffet Breakfast & Networking

7:30 AM   The LAUNCH: Communicate with Charisma, Clarity & Compassion:  Boost the odds the message you intend to communicate matches the one received by clearing out cluttered wording, becoming body language fluent and tuning into tone. The ROI is time saved, misunderstandings prevented, projects moved forward, sales closed and a stronger perception of confidence shaped.

9:30 AM    Present with Presence: The most fascinating presentations on paper can fall flat when brought to life. Presentations are a dance and not a one-way style of communication.  We will walk you through our TALLsmall method of building an effective presentation, utilizing storytelling, conversational wording and a style that doesn’t require a script.

11:00 AM  Buffet Lunch

11:30 AM  The Art of Negotiation:  People think of this skill as something that takes years to learn and only exists in a boardroom. We negotiate in every interaction. Once you recognize this fact, negotiation becomes less daunting and more comfortable.  In this interactive, role playing session…

  • Learn the art of compromise in settling differences, how to create the best possible outcomes for your position and to lower the odds of dispute.
  • Gain tips on what words and body language are most effective in closing a deal, strategies for answering difficult questions without becoming flustered, how to identify entry points for compromise and to become a better listener.

1:30 PM    Conflict Resolution: Conversations often get derailed and cause misunderstandings, become overly complicated or eat more time than allotted due to the use of words, body language and tone that trigger tension. In this session, we’ll cover:

  • Words and phrases to use and avoid when conflicts arise.
  • Steps to take before a conflict arises to ensure a smoother experience when communications obstacles hit.
  • How to move conversations forward when they hit a snag.
  • How to disagree without becoming defensive, beating around the bush or becoming overly emotional.
  • Other red flags to watch for in conversations and how to handle them.

3:30 PM   Happy Hour & Hors d'oeuvres
